Fire Extinguisher Service

RCI Systems, Inc. services and supplies a complete line of fire extinguishers including, but not limited to, ABC Dry Chemical, BC Dry Chemical, K Class Wet Chemical, H2O Fire Extinguishers, CO2 and Halotron. All of our technicians are CSA certified and are required to undergo extensive training to obtain their certification.

The history of fire

All fire extinguishers must have annual service performed by a certified technician as required by NFPA 10 fire code standard. Once we have performed the annual service, we will be able to determine if any other services are required. You may be required to have six (6) year maintenance or a twelve (12) year hydrostatic test depending on the date your fire extinguisher was manufactured.

Six (6) year maintenance involves emptying the extinguisher to perform an internal examination. Once that is complete, the fire extinguisher is refilled and recharged.
Twelve (12) year hydrostatic test involves emptying the extinguisher to perform an internal examination. Once that is complete, the fire extinguisher is filled with water and pressurized according to the NFPA 10 requirements, refilled and recharged.

Fire Extinguishers with a liquid extinguishing agent are only subject to a hydrostatic test every five years.

Both industrial sprinklers and residential sprinkler systems are designed to blend into virtually any décor. Sprinklers, cover plates, and escutcheons can be custom painted by the manufacturer to match any decor.
